{"id":1202,"date":"2011-09-23T14:13:54","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T14:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mindtomind.com\/?p=1202"},"modified":"2015-02-13T06:17:14","modified_gmt":"2015-02-13T12:17:14","slug":"depression_confusion_decision_brain_mind_neural_plasticity_zox_pro_training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mindtomind.com\/test\/depression_confusion_decision_brain_mind_neural_plasticity_zox_pro_training\/","title":{"rendered":"Are You Depressed?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Too many decisions &#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/h1>\n<p>If you are like most people, you must make <strong>too many decisions<\/strong> every day of your life.\u00a0 You feel <strong>overwhelmed<\/strong> from all of your carefully considered decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Scientists have proven that if we have any more than 7 things to choose from, we go into <strong>overload<\/strong>, so by the time we go through the grocery store, we are in <strong>meltdown<\/strong>.\u00a0 They have even connected this to <strong>Clinical Depression.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>For example;<\/strong><\/span> I will take you on a tour of what you can expect for simple<strong> decision making<\/strong>, starting at the beginning of your day.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em> (Obviously, this really isn&#8217;t you because you would never do these things this way.)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The alarm goes off.\u00a0 Do you set your alarm for a \u201csnooze\u201d, and for how long?\u00a0 Do you just lie there a while?\u00a0 Do you get up ready to take on the day?\u00a0 Or do you turn over and go back to sleep?\u00a0 That was 5 decisions, and you haven\u2019t even made it out of bed.<\/p>\n<p>You decide to get up and get dressed.\u00a0 You go to the closet full of clothes and declare,\u00a0 <strong><em>\u201cI have nothing to wear.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> After deciding on a matching top and bottom with socks and shoes, you toss them back and decide to wear the same thing you had on yesterday.\u00a0 There goes another 5 or more decisions.\u00a0 For some people this one act could amount to hundreds of decisions.<\/p>\n<p>You finally decide that is a good time to have a wholesome breakfast instead of the same old breakfast you have every day.\u00a0 You begin by deciding what ingredients you want for your breakfast.\u00a0 You pull them all out and get ready, &#8230;\u00a0 Then you decide it will take too long.\u00a0 So you put it all back and sit down to your usual bowl of <em><strong>gruel<\/strong><\/em> that you are accustomed to.\u00a0 Another 5 or more decisions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><strong>DON\u2019T LAUGH!\u00a0 You may be this person.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>What happens <strong>when your routine breaks down<\/strong> and forces you to make new decisions?\u00a0 What if you are on your way to work\u00a0 <em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">(Well, at least you made it out of the house without being half naked.)<\/span><\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0 you get into the car; you turn the key, and &#8230;\u00a0 nothing.\u00a0 Now you are faced with a whole new handful of decisions to make.\u00a0 You must decide what to do about getting to work, fixing the car, and many other decisions about things that contribute to your circumstances.<\/p>\n<h2><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Confusion!\u00a0 You Bet!<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>With all the things swirling around in your head, you will think you are walking around in a fog.\u00a0 YOU ARE!\u00a0 This is the mental fog that is created by needing to make too many decisions;\u00a0 and it further obscures your ability to make \u201cclear\u201d decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Sorry for giving you depressing news about someone\u2019s depressing day.\u00a0 You can just go back to bed and forget it all until you wake back up.\u00a0 <strong><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">(Ooops, it\u2019s still there.)<\/span><\/em><\/strong> Or today, you can decide to be proactive in an effort to clear those cobwebs from your mind.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Here are some ways of doing just that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Meditation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mental exercises<\/strong> that strengthen your mind and gives you focus<\/li>\n<li>Giving your <strong>brain<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">new<\/span> information that it is not accustomed to. \u00a0 This creates a type of growth and change called <strong>neural-plasticity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are serious about helping yourself crawl out of the <strong>miasma<\/strong> you have created then you owe it to yourself to consider what <a title=\"ZOX Pro Training\" href=\"http:\/\/ZOXpro.com\/\"><strong>ZOX Pro Training<\/strong><\/a> offers.
