Brain Management: Life Lessons, Pain and Success

Life Lessons, Pain and Success

The pursuit of happiness …

Eclectic Mind Brain Happiness Success Attraction

Learn from your experiences

You have no doubt heard or read this phrase, and without a doubt, it is good advice. But you can learn from the lessons from others and avoid the pain that they suffered to obtain their first-hand wisdom.

Pain: Life’s Great Teacher

Whether your pain is physical, health, stress, spiritual or financial – find the pain, discover the lesson. Then, and only then, will The Secret Law of Attraction work in your favor. In fact, until you learn the lesson your life circumstances or your body are trying to tell you, you will experience the same pain again and again.

What We Have Given Up – the True Gauge of Success

Consider this quote:  “Success is NOT gauged on what you have gained, but by what you have given up.”  Someone who bases success on what he or she has given up to attain a particular position likely considers life as a series of losses or concessions – and not very much fun. By contrast, someone who has enjoyed his or her life’s journey views success much more positively.

Perseverance Is the Key

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. You learn from your pain and experiences exactly the same way. Slowly but surely, and stronger and more knowledgeable than when you started – you will reach your ultimate goals.  Along the way, you should consider the following questions:

  • What is your success strategy?
  • Are you truly committed to achieving success?
  • Are you determined to reach your goal – no matter what?
  • Will you persevere through adversity?
  • Are your willpower and focus sufficient to see you through to the end?

Make no mistake, perseverance, stamina and commitment will allow you to achieve your ultimate goals. Even the most perfect plan is doomed to failure if you have no stamina. But a strong balance of the other qualities can compensate for the shortfalls of a less than perfect plan.  Using Brain Management  along with The Secret Law of Attraction will increase your subconscious mind power along with your stamina – making a phenomenal contribution to the global consciousness.

Brain Fact #4: Underweight People Risk Brain Shutdown

Are you Starving Your Brain?

Tired Flat Brain

Feeling Flat? Exhausted? Lethargic?
Feed Your Brain!

Did you know…

In the average human, the brain consumes about 17% of the body’s total energy but accounts for only 3% of bodyweight.

Dietitians suggest you should not go below 1400 calories per day, as this is the minimum amount necessary to meet your daily nutritional requirements. (I am keeping this simple, recognizing there is much more involved in maintaining good health.)

Therefore, 17% of 1400 would be 238 calories. That is around the same amount of calories if you were to run 2 miles or swim 900 meters every day.

But what would happen if you are in the process of removing the excess baggage from your body? Most of the time you are told to cut back on the amount of energy (food) you take in, and exercise to burn more energy.

If you remember, the brain controls all types of things happening around your body that are essential for sustaining good health; like your heart pumping blood, breathing, and making sure your bodily functions are doing what they should be doing, and not doing what they should not be doing, like cardiac arrhythmia.

It is important that you maintain proper nutrition going to your brain, even when you are burning more calories than you take in. Otherwise, you can suffer many different debilitating symptoms. You can lose memory, experience inability to make decisions, have decreased muscle coordination and longer response time, and plenty of any number of problems; because your brain controls too many functions to mention. An exacerbated inability to make decisions is a contributing factor why  anorexics have such a problem breaking free of anorexia. They have been starving their brain along with starving their body.

Maintaining your brain’s ability to work for you is paramount. Superior information gives you the edge in life. Both go hand in hand.

Problems with Programs and the Law of Attraction

Programming and the Law of Attraction

Programming mistake

What is the right way to program?

My clients have continuously asked me about the various ways to program. Once you understand programming basics, you can literally program your subconscious while you are walking down the street. You probably already do this without even thinking about it.

That should tell you a couple of things about programming. First, it is easy to do; or at least it should be easy. Second, the simple program is better. If you have a complicated program, your mind must jump through all those extra hoops to make your program work. And third, you should not be stressed about what you program.

a Perfect Program for a Perfect Partner…

Let us take a look at a typical program that is likely to go wrong – Finding your perfect partner. I will simplify this to a few basic details. Most people will follow these steps:

Make a list of all the qualities that you want your ideal partner to have.

Make a visual picture in your mind as to what this person should look like.

Whenever you are making your list, you are likely to be thinking about all the things you want this person to be. But more importantly, and what most people choose not to think about are the qualities they would choose for the person to not have. Of course it is good to stay positive. But it is also important to have balance. To recognize the potential for negatives to be associated with a person is being responsible for you, and everyone involved.

What you THINK you want can turn sour…

A friend of mine recently met someone that “ticked the boxes” for him. Unfortunately, later down the road, he found the lady also ticked a lot more boxes than he previously knew about. A lot of those other boxes were undesirable. Now, my friend has a bit of a problem. He thought he had found his perfect match, just to find he has to extricate himself from a poisonous relationship he had not anticipated. There are always risks, and sometimes consequences.

Consider the “picture” you have created in your mind of what this person should look like. (Here is a recipe for disaster.) You may well over look your soul-mate because that person did not match the image you created. Here is a quote that is at best, shallow:

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone. – Dorothy Parker

Science has also told us that many of the visual qualities of beauty are in symmetry. An example of this is if you draw a line down through the center of someone’s face. (Please do this on a picture.) Scientific studies tell us, the more features that have their counterpart evenly balanced on both sides of the line; the more attractive the person would be, within reason of course. Another quality people tend to observe is skin quality; less blemishes and irregularities are more attractive. There are more examples of these, but I want to keep things easy to understand.

The odds are against you…

I recently was talking to a client about what she imagines her perfect partner to be. Low and behold, she is holding out for the Knight in Shining Armour. She holds an image of a tall, blond, blue-eyed wealthy wonder of a man that would suddenly appear and whisk her off her feet. Of course that can happen. But her personal details are not conducive to support that circumstance. But even though the odds are against her for this to happen, it is still possible; even probable with the right programming to support her efforts. She has a bit of work to do. It is one thing to get “him”; but it is another to be able to hang on to him. He will be in high demand from other women looking for the same thing. (This could also lead to finding the undesirable boxes checked.)

Finding a Partner is Stressful…

For most people, finding a partner that you want to spend a substantial portion of your life with and potentially create a family with is daunting. Would this pursuit carry a certain amount of stress? YES! One of the first rules when you are programming is to take stress out of the picture. You are talking about discipline. Even the coolest character can lose control when it comes to matters of the heart.

Review of Programming…

  • Easy
  • Simple
  • Stress-free

If you are not programming with these 3 things in mind, you are getting in your own way. You become your own worst enemy.

The Problem with Programs…

A client wanted a new car. He told me he was not having success with his program. He then tells me that he is actually programming for the “money” to purchase the car he wants. (That was the problem.) Often times when people program for money, they have belief systems that prevent them from gaining the money. Therefore the program fails. But if they focus on the objective (the new car) instead of the money, then they do not need to deal with their anti-money belief. It increases the effectiveness of the program.

I teach my clients to use easy, simple, and stress-free programming. Their results are much more reliable. Before my teaching, many of my clients had been misinformed about how the Law of Attraction and Programming really work.

The Photographic Memory :: Myth, Legend, Fact or Fiction

The Photographic Memory

the Truth is Out There…

Brain Mind Photographic Eidetic Memory

What exactly is the “photographic memory”?

The elusive photographic memory; ever experienced it? Chances are you may have come across it in grandiose Hollywood films and television shows. Furthermore, the photographic memory is expressed in such a way that it seems both superhuman and abnormal!

The apex of the photographic memory experience has been portrayed accurately by characters such as:

  • Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory”
  • Will Hunting from Good Will Hunting
  • Mike Ross from Suits

…and many more

You know, writers may be writing for fiction but they are heavily influenced by real life events that shape their work. They also have the power to release material that is inaccurate; only to be aired. Not only is the photographic memory, itself, is one of those real life events its also one of those inaccuracies that writers write about!

Believe it or not….The phenomenon that looks to good to be true…is indeed true. Even worst, the name ‘photographic’ itself is wrong. At best, it’s inaccurate, and at worst it is deceptive.

The actual, technical and medical term for it is…the Eidetic Memory.

Photographic Memory vs. Eidetic Memory

Despite two different names, if there is a correct term for this real and amazing memory then why on earth is it expressed wrong?

The answer lies with people’s personal experiences with visual learning, i.e. seeing and absorbing information via their eyes. Considering that permanent and verbatim recall of information is a classic function of eidetic memory, the ‘photographic’ metaphor was created as to identify with that type of flawless recall and the name stuck.

In both real and scientific terms, the eidetic memory does not rely upon visual input but uses the remaining senses of the human body as well.

Therefore the term ‘photographic’ is used interchangeably but loosely.

The Scientific view?

The typical view in mainstream science is that it does not exist at all and it is a myth. Take for example, Joshua Foer’s article in the magazine, Slate, he promotes the myth theory by downplaying past examples of people but without citing any evidence that that perpetuates his views. (slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2006/04/kaavya_syndrome.2.html)

One of those is exceptional people is Stephen Wiltshire, an autistic artist  with a vivid photographic memory, that accurately draws stunning city landscapes purely from memory alone. The accuracy in his illustrations is flawless he has been awarded an MBE for his works. (dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1223790/Autistic-artist-draws-18ft-picture-New-York-skyline-memory.html)

Such feats do not lie only with Autism. Recently, an ordinary policeman featured on the news used his ‘photographic’ memory to identify and capture hundreds of criminals over the last five years purely from memorizing them from faces on wanted posters. (huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/29/andy-pope-photographic-memory-pcso_n_3519213.html)

Many stories like those above provide a basis that the eidetic memory does indeed exist, contradicting many of the standard scientific views.

Psychologists wrestle with this subject in the laboratory and have established the existence of Eidetic Imagery (EI), in which they conclude that some people, mainly children, have this ability. The after-image of something they have seen is embedded, or retained, with vivid detail like an image in their minds. (theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/jan/14/truth-about-memories-jarrett)

You have this power too

Everybody of all ages and abilities has access to this extraordinary memory. Perhaps it is not as rare as you, or I, have been led to believe.

Let me briefly tell you a story that occurred about a month ago. A customer came in to my work and I was talking about the photographic memory. She overheard me and commented about recall ability and reading speed of her daughter-in-law and how she “completes degree after degree!” I was astonished!

Most people would say “Well that’s OK for her. But I can’t do it, it is impossible!” The good news is we all have this ability and therefore we can all tap into it and use its unlimited resources. Now that is great!

Unfortunately, when we all started school from age 5 we were programmed out of using this ability and were taught the rote-memory system of learning which uses reading as its vehicle.

Reading uses a short-term memory system and we quickly forget almost everything that we were taught and had to learn by repeatedly revising or ‘cramming’ to absorb it all. Not good… It is a huge waste of time.

There is a Silver Lining – The keys to unlimited success are yours

But don’t worry, there is a long-term memory system out now that can reconnect you to those eidetic abilities that you lost as a child along with allows you to absorb extreme amounts of information at lightning quick speeds!

The method is called Mental Photography, also known as ZOXing. It has been around for over 35 years, and has helped thousands of people tap into their innate, photographic memory and become eidetickers again as well as ZOXers!

Years of independent scientific research; supports the existence of your eidetic memory and proves that anyone can learn at astounding speeds accompanied with a memory that can recall and retain all needed information at will, just like those Hollywood characters I mentioned earlier!

Richard Welch, the Father of Mental Photography said, “The brain, the brain, the brain. The more we learn about the brain, the more we realize how little we really know about it.” His statement is still correct today. If scientists knew everything there is to know about the brain, then there would be no question whether the photographic memory exists; or if it is myth, legend, fact or fiction.

For scientists to subscribe to scientific principle, and then proclaim the photographic memory does not exist is professional heresy. Or does the existence of the photographic memory fill them with so much fear; they dare to cross the line of professional integrity.
