Law of Attraction vs. Human Pheromones :: Smells, Odors, and You

Law of Attraction vs. Human Pheromones

Every week I get a lot of questions involving relationships. Some people will find these questions shallow, but that is not the point. The answers to these questions ARE important to those that clients that have asked them. In many cases, they have nobody around them they can trust. So they present them to me. Here are examples of just some of the questions I get:

  • How can I have a better relationship?
  • How can I attract the opposite sex?
  • How can I attract a partner with a high sex drive?
  • How can I have better sex?

Due to the personal nature these questions offer, I will not be answering them directly in this forum. Instead I am offering some scientifically based information for you to think about. It may or may not assist you with your situation, but the information is valid nonetheless.

How do pheromones affect you?

 Pheromones – Elixir or Myth?

Most people find the mysterious ways that our bodies work an intriguing subject. Where would we be without our olfactory sense? Opposites attract; at least where electromagnetism is concerned. But what about attraction between two people?  Romantic passion stays active for about two weeks. Is two weeks also the amount of time required to get accustomed to the other person’s pheromones?

Is attraction a matter of chemistry?

Chemical Effects of Pheromones

Many scientists believe that sexual attraction between animals is driven by pheromones.  It has been observed in some experiments that pheromones form the bases if communications among species and colonies of ants.  The horrible odor of skunks is a particularly potent pheromone. The perfume industry has capitalized on pheromones as a means to attract the opposite sex.

Biology, chemistry, genetics and psychology all promote opposing views. Some scientists even deny the existence of human pheromones. But findings from Swiss researchers at the University of Bern are making that difficult.  In their experiments, women sniffed men’s cotton shirts. The women preferred smelling shirts of men with genetic profiles that were different yet shared some similarities.

Does personality figure in sexual attraction?

“I thought he/she was this kind of person.”  Could pheromones drive initial attraction in failed relationships?  According to research conducted on interpersonal attraction and personality, a person’s sense of self-security and perception of the other person were found to be strong determinants for attraction. Attraction definitely plays a role in beginning a relationship, but it’s not enough to build long term relationships.

So should I stop trying to become attractive?

Smelly Pheromones

Work on all aspects of your health: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  Would you want to spend time with a person who feels insecure? Probably not! But putting on an act to attract someone will ultimately cause disappointment to both of you.  Only when you are true to yourself can you harness your attractiveness to others.

If You Are Happy With Your Life, … Please Disregard

Wanted:  100 People for Change

(If You are completely happy with your life, don’t waste your time reading this.)

I am looking for 100 people that are unhappy with their life, AND are willing to do anything it takes to make it better.

◊  Would you… cover yourself in honey and stand in front of a bees nest?

◊  Would you… jump out of an airplane with a parachute you made yourself, from scratch?

◊  Would you… stand naked in front of the Empire State Building singing the national anthem of a foreign country?

The most outrageous thing is some people would actually do these things if they thought it would improve their life.

By now, you must be thinking this guy is out of his mind! No, I am actually quite sane. I have been watching people for over 25 years make positive changes to their life, without ever doing anything so risky as the examples above.

Change – What is it all about?

As an oblique overview, there are several things that should be considered about change.

◊  Change happens everywhere at all times.

◊  Change involves us, whether we want it or not.

◊  Change is a fact of Life. Get used to it.

◊  Change can be influenced in what direction it takes, by you.

Change – How can I Influence it?

To influence positive change to take place in and around your life, you must strengthen a few basic building blocks.

Mental Discipline – Take steps to exercise and strengthen your brain and mind. Your mental capabilities are so far beyond what you do currently; you cannot even fathom what you are capable of achieving. Disciplining your mind starts with a commitment. It is always easier to make a commitment when you base it on a goal. For the sake of this exercise, let’s assume your goal is “for you to directly influence change”. When you are taking up a discipline, usually there will be exercises the strengthen you mind in some fashion. Most of the exercises will have something to do with enhancing your senses. By taking steps to enhance your senses, you are building structure. Some of that structure may be new, previously untapped.

Changes to your physical senses

Visual Creativity – Visualization is a typical exercise. Using your mind to create, you are visualizing a picture of your own making. You can even add other senses to the picture, to make it more real.

Auditory creativity can be enhanced by the use of a blindfold. This limits the sensory input from vision, which is the most common way we get information. Your attention to this sense will act like an amplifier to even the slightest sound. You can hear a pin dropped, as it hits the floor.

Olfactory creativity should also be done with a blindfold, but is not a requirement. The idea again is to create a circumstance where you are presented many different scents. From those scents, you start to tell where they originate from. From that type of input, you can make many assumptions about your immediate environment.

Taste is another scent you can enhance. The easiest way to do this is to eat food that you are not accustomed to eating. Most people fall into a routine of only eating certain things. That limits the range of flavours that you are experiencing. Another way of experiencing more flavours is to travel. When you travel, you must eat the food someone else has prepared for you. Some regions have rather peculiar flavours in what the locals deem as the right taste.

Last of the physical senses, Touch can be re-educated to take a more prominent place. There are varying degrees of hard or soft, hot, warm, or cold, or many other types of touch. In an ancient stimulating method of Kama-Sutra, you would traverse various types of touch that are dedicated to create a pleasurable experience. Some people may chose to use pain as a reference point to why some things feel good, while others feel bad.

All of these are dealing directly and consciously with your senses. You may even chose to combine some of these in a single event for your own purposes. An example of this would be:  In a Monty Python’s Flying Circus Skit, comedians get slapped in the face with a dead fish. That would combine a few different techniques mentioned here.

Brain Strengthening for Making Change

There are many techniques “out there” That claim they make your brain stronger. But most of those only give you a temporary fix that wears off when not in use. You want something that has a lasting effect; something that will be there for you throughout the rest of your life.  What you really want is something that stimulates Brain Plasticity to create new dendrites (Your memory storage), grow new connections, and strengthen your old connections (neurons). That takes something very unique. Those can only be done when you push your brain in such a way to activate the production of brain cells and dendrites. The one thing we know does all those things is Mental Photography, or ZOXing.

Change Depends on Your Ability to Make Decisions

Superior information gives you superior decision making results. When we need to make a decision, especially one in uncharted waters, then we need good QUALITY information, fast. But what are we left with. As the old saying goes, when you “read” information SLOWLY, It is like pushing a camel through the eye of a needle. It takes much time and effort. But there is another way to take in information that sounds so far-fetched, that people often think it is too good to be true. The method we are talking about gives you no less than 25,000 words per minute with 100% retention of that same information for life.

IMPOSSIBLE!

The truth is you have already done this when you were young, because you were born that way. It is also the way you learned so very much in the first few years of your life. Along the way, you allowed yourself to be taught away from using it. You had no idea what you were giving up, because you had nothing else to compare it to at that young and impressionable age. So, what is the magic now? Again, it is Mental Photography, or ZOXing.

Do You Really Want To Change?

Do you want to change your life without severe risk taking; like covering yourself with honey for a bee-fest, sky diving with a home-made parachute , or being very cold and naked in the middle of New York City encouraging people to tar and feather you, or worst, or something just as extreme?

If you answered YES!, then you owe it to yourself to seriously consider it. To get the best details, please visit ZOX Pro Training at www.ZOXpro.com

Have a Great Life!

Pheromones – Does a Law on Human Attraction Exist?

Pheromones – Elixir or Myth?

Some of you may find this article intriguing. Some may find it disgusting. And some may just find it a bit “on the nose”! But, you need to think, where would we all be without our olfactory sense?

“Opposites attract” is a law of attraction, at least where electromagnetism is concerned. But are there laws about attraction between two people? For men, It is a thinking that How to mentally attract women? “In a world that is full of strangers” as a line in a famous song of the 1980’s goes, is there a clear set of rules that allows two people to fall for each other? Romantic passion stays active for about 2 weeks. Is that the time it takes for us to get accustomed to the pheromones of the other person? e.g. female pheromones to attract men.

Do Pheromones actually work? Is attraction a matter of chemistry?

Chemical effects of Pheromones

Maybe. According to scientists, the attraction between animals of the opposite sex is all about chemicals called pheromones. The effect of pheromones in behavior of insects is the most studied to date. It has been observed, at least in some experiments, that pheromones are responsible for communication among same species and colony of ants. The horrible odor released by skunks to ward off enemies is said to be a kind of pheromone. Some species of apes rub pheromone-containing urine on the feet of potential mates to attract them. Some scientists believe that animals (usually the females) such as insects and mammals send out these chemical signals to tell the male of their species that their genes are different from theirs. This gene diversity is important in producing offspring with better chances of survival. The perfume industry has capitalized on pheromones as a means to increase one’s sexual attractiveness to the opposite sex. Animals such as the whale and the musk deer were hunted down for these chemicals.

Lately, scientists are looking into the existence of human pheromones and its role in mate selection. There are many conflicting views in the realm of biology, chemistry, genetics, and psychology. Most scientists would assert that these do not exist, or if they do, do not play a role in sexual attraction between a man and a woman. But new researches such as that conducted by Swiss researchers from the University of Bern led by Klaus Wedekind are slowly making these scientists rethink their stand. Their experiment involved women sniffing the cotton shirts of different men during their ovulation period. It was found out that women prefer the smell of men’s shirts that were genetically different, but also shared similarities with the women’s genes. This, like in the case of insects and other mammals, was to ensure better and healthier characteristics for their future children. But researchers also cautioned that preference for a male odor is affected by the women’s ovulation period, the food that men eat, perfumes and other scented body products, and the use of contraceptive pills.

Does personality figure in sexual attraction?

Yes, but so does your perception of a potential mate’s personality, there are four basic personality types. According to a research conducted by Klohnen, E.C., & S. Luo in 2003 on interpersonal attraction and personality, a person’s sense of self-security and at least the person’s perception of his/her partner were found to be strong determinants of attraction in hypothetical situations. What does this tell us? We prefer a certain personality type, which attracts you to a person. But aside from the actual personality of the person, which can only be verified through close interaction through time, it is your perception of your potential partner that attracts you to him/her, whether the person of your affection truly has that kind of personality or not. How much do ‘unseen’ pheromones play a part in the continued affection? This could probably account for a statement commonly heard from men and women on their failed relationships: “I thought he/she was this kind of person.”

So how does attraction figure in relationships?

You have probably heard that attraction is a prelude, or a factor towards a relationship. Most probably, at least in the beginning; but attraction alone cannot make a relationship work. It is that attraction that makes you notice a person from the opposite sex, but once you get to know the person more, attraction is just one consideration. Shared values, dreams, and passions become more significant in long-term relationships.

So should I stop trying to become attractive?

Smelly Pheromones…

More than trying to become physically attractive, work on all aspects of your health: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Physical attraction is still a precursor. Remember, biology, including pheromones, predisposes us to choose the partner with the healthiest genes. Where your emotions are concerned, just ask this to yourself: would you want to spend time with a person who feels insecure about him/herself? Probably not! There is wisdom in knowing yourself: who you are, your beliefs, values, and dreams. And do not pretend to be someone you are not. Fooling another person by making him/her think that you share the same values and beliefs is only going to cause you both disappointments. When you are healthy in all aspects, attractiveness becomes a consequence and not an end. As mentioned in the Klohnen and Luo’s research, a person’s sense of self-security matters, perhaps even beyond attraction. But remember: do these things for yourself and not for other people. Only then can you truly harness your attractiveness as a person.
